I wouldn’t be surprised if never gets fixed as it seems like hot-plugging was never truely supported throughout the whole ICH range under WinXp. A few seconds later autoplay popped up and it looked like windows treated it like I plugged in an external hard drive. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.
